The Lincoln Lawyer - Soundtrack

Mickey Haller (Matthew McConaughey) is a Los Angeles criminal defense attorney who operates out of the back of his Lincoln Continental sedan. Haller has spent most of his career defending garden-variety criminals, until he lands the case of a lifetime: defending a Beverly Hills playboy accused of murder. But the seemingly straightforward case suddenly develops into a deadly game of survival for Haller.
The soundtrack relies heavily on modern hip/hop, rap, pop, and soul. Opening up with Bobby "Blue" Bland’s smooth and soulful 1974 hit "Ain't No Love in the Heart of the City” and closing with '60s jazz singer Marlena Shaw’s “California Soul,” the latter of which is given a 21st century update by West Coast gangsta rapper Ya Boy, The Lincoln Lawyer offers up a solid mix of old and new school, with a little Pacific Ocean-kissed modern rock thrown in for good measure.
